Downtown Pep Rally Saturday Kicks Off Pirates Spring Training

BRADENTON – The Pittsburgh Pirates and Bradenton Marauders will hold their fourth annual Pirates Pep Rally on Saturday, February 16. The free event will run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The rally is a partnership between the Pirates and Realize Bradenton and will be held on Old Main Street in downtown Bradenton.

Pirates players and staff will attend the event, which includes autograph sessions with players. The schedule for the evening includes family games, face painting, prize giveaways, fantastic food and musical performances. Several community organizations will be represented.

Bradenton has been the Spring Training home of the Pirates since 1969, while their Minor League affiliate the Marauders have been playing at here since 2010. The club opens their spring schedule with the Black and Gold intrasquad game at McKechnie Field on Friday, February 22.
