Dr. Keith Bateman passed into glory on July 31, 2024. Keith was a graduate of Coatesville (PA) High School; Franklin & Marshall College (Lancaster, PA); Temple Dental School (Philadelphia, PA) and Dallas Theological Seminary (Dallas, TX).
Keith served for 3 ½ years as a dentist and orthodontist with the US Navy, followed by 15 years of service in Kenya and Sudan with Africa Inland Mission where, together with his wife Sharon, he was involved in both medical work and theological education. They returned to the US in 1993, where he served for another 15 years as a senior pastor in two Midwest churches, followed by eight years as the US Director of an agency serving churches in the Middle East.
Keith is survived by his wife, Sharon, three children: Dr. Laura Robinson (m. Brandon Robinson); Kyle Bateman (m. Farah); and Joel Bateman (m. Melissa) six grandchildren; and one sister Bette Ranck (m. Gerry).
No Services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the American Bible Society. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209, is in charge of arrangements.
