Earl E. Cowdrey, 79, of Palmetto, passed away on November 5, 2022, after a brave and courageous fight against cancer.

Born in Toledo, Ohio in July of 1943, he was one of seven children of the late Dudley and Beulah (Marsh) Cowdrey. After high school, Earl attended Anderson Bible College in Indiana. Upon completing his studies, he enlisted in and proudly served as a Chaplain in the US Army during Vietnam. After honorably serving, he went on to complete his bachelor's degree in Business from Toledo University. Earl's strong work ethic was instilled in him as a young boy, working on the family farm. His work ethic and business mind always had him analyzing and searching out the most economic and efficient way to complete something. He married his wife, Karen in 1989 and together they raised two children. Together they shared their journey of faith with members of Crosspoint Fellowship, Holmes Beach. Earl favorite pastime was working in his yard and shelling.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth, Charlie, and Clarence.

He will be remembered and missed by his devoted wife, Karen; his beloved children, Nicolas (Abigail) Cowdrey and Natalie (David) Moss; his cherished grandchildren, Hannah, Abigail, Titus, Nathan, Lilly, Louisa, and Lexie; and his dear siblings, Eleanor Hise, Nelson Cowdrey, and Grace (Bernie) Sailor.

A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Skyway Memorial Gardens.
