Eddy Quandt passed away peacefully at his home Sunday night 09/13/26, leaving behind his 3 treasured daughters; Susie, Barbara & Judy, 3 Grandchildren; Tamicka, Justin & Quentin and 3 great-grandchildren; Adam Samantha & Ella. He joins his wife, Ann, parents Helmut & Anna, siblings Bill, Charlie, Steve, Margie, Harry & Richie in heaven.

He was born July 20, 1928, in New Jersey, followed his career to Illinois and retired in Sarasota Florida after 35 years with AT&T Bell Laboratories as Alarm & Control Board Shift Supervisor.

At 20, he joined the US Navy and met his wife, Ann, while at the US Naval Training Center in Great Lakes and received Certificates from Rutgers for Air Conditioning/Refrigeration & Shop Steward and obtained a NJ Engineers License. He served on the USS Maury stationed at & around Suez Canal, Egypt, Africa, Italy and was Honorably Discharged as Machinist Mate 2nd Class after 4 years.

A Service will be held at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72 (Clark Rd.) on Friday October 23rd, 2026 @ 1130am.

A Celebration of Life will be held at his home at 7124 Alderwood Dr. Sarasota, Fl. on Saturday October 24th, 2026, 3pm-5pm.

Although we grieve his passing, he died beloved by all and will not be forgotten. As long life & memories last, we will remember him because no one can ever take his place.
