Election 2012 Jim Boyd Beats Adam Tebrugge to Retain Florida House Seat

BRADENTON -- Adam Tebrugge had his work cut out for him in challenging incumbent state Rep. Jim Boyd. The Sarasota attorney had little name recognition in Manatee County where most of the district is located and was up against an enormous fundraising deficit. Boyd raised more than a quarter of a million dollars for the race, while Tebrugge raised an otherwise respectable amount of just under $50,000. Boyd won the race 57-43.
