BRADENTON -- The 2012 Democratic National Convention officially kicks off today in Charlotte, NC. A full schedule of events for the convention has been slow to materialize; however, featured speakers confirmed for this evening include Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Chafee, former President Jimmy Carter and the First Lady, Michelle Obama.
