Estella Yorkey, age 82, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, surrounded by the loving family she cherished so deeply, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Through every stage of her illness, Estella faced the odds with remarkable strength, determination, and resilience, continually surpassing expectations with the fierce spirit that defined her life.

Born on January 11, 1944, in East Lansing, Estella spent her school years in Fairville and later raised her family in Williamson. Most recently, she made her home in Parrish.

Estella leaves behind her devoted husband, Raymond Yorkey; her loving children, Scott Clemons, Charlene (Rob) Peters, and Kealhi (Mark) Paoni; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought immense joy and pride to her life.

She will be remembered as one of the hardest-working, strongest-willed, and most fiercely loving mothers and grandmothers anyone could know. Estella took tremendous pride in her work ethic throughout her life. She spent many years working as a waitress before continuing her career in various roles at Xerox, where she was respected for her dedication and reliability.

Estella’s strong faith and deep love of God carried her through life’s many challenges and gave her strength throughout her illness. Her faith shined brightly in the way she cared for others, especially through the food and baked goods she lovingly prepared and shared. Cooking and baking were truly her love language, and family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers were often the grateful recipients of her homemade treats and meals.

Outside of the kitchen, Estella found joy in gardening and canning, with gardens that were admired throughout the neighborhood. She also loved to travel, especially taking cruises, and was always excitedly planning her next adventure.

Above all else, Estella’s greatest love was her family. Her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved her, and she will be missed beyond measure. Her strength, warmth, generosity, unwavering faith, and unconditional love will remain with her family always.
