Eura Lee Rosier was born on December 15, 1928, in Sebring, Florida, to the late Henry and Lona Reid Gibbs. Eura received her education in the Highlands County School System. She later met and married the love of her life Eddie Lee Rosier, Sr., of Palmetto, Florida, on December 15, 1943, and together they shared 64 years of marriage. To this union, seven children were born.
She worked many years at McKinney Dry Cleaners of Palmetto, Florida, from which she later retired. At an early age, she gave her life to Christ, where faith remained a constant and guiding presence in her life which displayed in her love for attending church where she also served as a member on the mother's board. Eura was the beloved matriarch of her family; her home was a safe haven where she taught lessons to many and filled the air with the smell of her famous desserts, peach cobbler and sweet potato pie. She was a guiding light whose strength, wisdom, and unconditional love held generations together and left a lasting legacy in every heart she touched. During her spare time, she not only enjoyed cooking and shopping but most importantly spending time with her grandchildren listening and encouraging them to live a meaningful life.
Eura peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025, surrounded by love and comfort. Her transition was gentle, filled with the same grace, dignity, and love she carried throughout her life. Eura was preceded in death by her only brother, Theodore "Bro Gibbs" Gibbs Sr.; children, Harvard Rosier, Eddie Lee Rosier, Jr., Katherine Rosier-Randall, and Minnie Mae Rosier-Ross; grandchildren, James Williams, Jr., Vondanesa Rivers, Eddie "Frank" Rosier III, and Crystal Rosier.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: daughters, Beulah Rosier-Lane and Lavonne Rosier-McSears; son, Alfred Rosier Sr. (Patricia); grandchildren, Lavonne Youngblood, LaTanya Neasman, Rumonda Neasman, Samuel Ross, Jr., Julius Ross, Lesia (Richard) Davenport, Katouria' (Seneca) Chambers, Sharon Rawls, Freddie McSears, Jr., Nitika (Dyelan) Phillips, Cory (Toney) Rosier, Tocarra Rosier, Walter Randall, Jr., Reggie Randall, Jerry Shepard, Jr., Crystal B. Rosier, Kimberly Burns (Chris), Cedrick Mitchell, Shekeena (Jonathan) Rosier, Asia Rosier, Vincent (Lewrendi) Gordon, Reginald Williams (Cheraina), Shekeena Rosier-Weeks (Jonathan), and Alfred Rosier Jr (Gretta); and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
