Evaline (Evie) Agius, 85, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025.

Born on December 16, 1939, in the rolling hills of Kentucky to Foster and Della Jones, Evie carried the strength and grace of her roots throughout her life. After graduating, she moved to Michigan, where she worked as a nanny and later for Pinkerton's. While attending evening business classes, she met the love of her life, Mike Agius. Their connection was instant and enduring-they married and spent the next 64 years building a life filled with love, laughter, and faith.

Evie was a devoted homemaker and the proud matriarch of a large and loving family. She was blessed with five children, twelve grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. Though she once dreamed of having twelve children, she often said five was just perfect. Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion, deep faith, and boundless affection-a legacy that continues to flourish through each generation.

To her family, Evie was our queen. Her hugs had healing power, her faith was a guiding light, and her love was unconditional. She taught us to pray, to persevere, and to cherish one another. Her presence was a source of comfort, and her wisdom shaped our lives.

Evie is survived by her children: Cindy Spaulding (Ric), Lisa Hodgkinson (Tony), Tina Zuchowski (Joe), Michael Agius (Shannon), and Julie Rose (Steve); twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Lorane Pelton, Pam Boyd (Charles Ray), and Alfreda Jones. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mike; her parents, Foster and Della Jones; her brother, Fairly (Lola) Jones; her sisters, Maria O'Rafferty, Diane Farley (Harold) and brother-in-law Walter Pelton.

A private family memorial service will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, November 7th at Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles Catholic Church, 2850 75th Street, Bradenton, Florida 34209.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Evie's memory may be made to Empath Tidwell Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209, is in charge of arrangements.
