March 19, 1990 - February 7, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evan Scott McLeod on February 7, 2025 at the age 34. Evan was born on March 19, 1990 in Westerly, RI to Scott and Gail (Larrabee) McLeod. Our family is devastated by this huge loss and he will be forever missed.
From an early age, Evan enjoyed and appreciated the outdoors. He liked to bike, skateboard, ski, and especially enjoyed hiking down a woodsy trail. His summers, as a kid, were spent boogie boarding at the Westerly Town Beach. He was a thrill seeker and always seemed to be on the lookout for adventure. He loved the outdoors so much that he spent most of his working life in landscaping and lawn care.
Evan was an intelligent young man who enjoyed researching subjects that interested him. He had knowledge of many topics and would willingly debate subject matter that he was most passionate about.
He was creative and had a natural talent for drawing and painting and created many original pieces of art. He had an amazing ability for writing and often shared his thoughts and ideas through the written word.
Evan was most content when he was around his friends spending most of his waking hours among them, but when he was alone, it was music that he loved. He enjoyed all genres and often said that music was his therapy. His headphones became part of his anatomy.
On Nov. 4, 2024 Evan moved to the tropical paradise he had often dreamed of. It was on Anna Maria Island in Florida where he helped his friend Kristen with renovating her home after recent hurricanes. He couldn't wait to share videos of the manatees in the canal and his recent skydiving adventure.
Evan's greatest joy was his daughter Callie. Memories of him pushing her on the swing and calling her "Boo-Boo" will forever be etched in our memories. Evan will be greatly missed by his friends and family, but he will never be forgotten.
Survived by: daughter Callie Marie McLeod and her mother Pamela Tufano; sister Lauren Tripp (Zachary Tripp); grandmother Carol McLeod; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Donations can be made in Evan's memory to AdCare Rhode Island, 1950 Tower Hill Rd. North Kingstown, RI 02852.
