Fatima Cote

Posted

On June 8, 2024, surrounded by her family, this loving wife, mother and grandparent went home to be with the Lord. Her battle with cancer this past year showed her courage when facing life's challenges, still able to smile and offer you a kind word. Despite the pain, Fatima endured, she stayed strong right till the end.

Fatima's greatest joy was invested in spending quality time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved traveling, dancing and cooking delicious foods for her family. She was an excellent cook. Although she was small in stature, she had a really big heart.

Fatima was born on the island of Faial, Azores, to Luis and Laura Correia whom she will now be reunited with. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Cote, her three children Mitch, Jennifer, and Sean Baptista, her two grandchildren, Ryleigh Beaulieu, and Jayce Rego and her great grandson Karson DaCosta. The second of five children, she is survived by her three brothers Luis, Guido and Joe and her sister Elia. She was predeceased by her brother Jeffrey.

The family will hold a private Celebration of Life service here in Florida and then a second one will be held in New Bedford. Massachusetts, which will be her final resting place.

The family would like to thank Laura and the rest of the Tidewell Hospice staff for their guidance, support and excellent care given during her time of need. A heartfelt thank you must also be given to the staff at Blake Medical Center for the excellent care that they also provided.

Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel, 5624 26th Street West, Bradenton, Florida 34207, is in charge of arrangements.
