Festival of Skeletons Returns to Village for 8th Year This Weekend

BRADENTON – The Village of the Arts celebrates its 8th Annual Festival of the Skeletons from 6-9:30 p.m. Friday and 11-4 p.m. Saturday. If you can’t get to Mexico for Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), the birthplace of the annual celebration, the Village is the next best thing.

Galleries, restaurants and other shops will be decorated in honor of Dia de los Muertos  as they celebrate the life of passed loved ones. There will be a community shrine in honor of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo along with a Frida look-a-like contest.

Enjoy Mexican food, music, face painting by January Eldred, the artists’ Skeleton Walkand, a wall honoring passed loved ones. Put on your best skeleton face and join the free fun!
