BRADENTON -- If you like classic cars and buy into the Manasota MOPAR Club's motto of "Doin' Good in the Neighborhood," you need to mark your calendar for Saturday, October 12. That's the date of the classic car show they will be putting on at Firkins Automotive, 2700 First St. W, Bradenton.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and benefit Feeding Empty Little Tummies (FELT), a Manatee County non-profit that provides weekend backpacks filled with food to homeless children in the Manatee School District.

It's going to be a great family fun day. While MOPAR folks are mainly interested in Plymouths, Dodges and Chryslers, they've opened this show up to every make and model in order to increase participation.

There will be Fords, Chevys, classics and exotics - you name it! Registration for participants is $15. To enter a car, contact Wanda Dunlap at 747-6119 or Firkins at 748-6510 for pre-registration.
