First Free Shirt Friday at McKechnie This Week

BRADENTON – The Bradenton Marauders face the High-A affiliates of Florida’s Major League Baseball teams during a five-game home stand starting on Thursday, April 17. Bradenton faces the Jupiter Hammerheads (Miami Marlins) on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, then plays Monday and Tuesday against the Charlotte Stone Crabs (Tampa Bay Rays) at McKechnie Field. All five games start at 6:30 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.

The home stand begins Thursday, April 17 with a Thirsty Thursday presented by Budweiser and Ticket Sarasota, your ticket to Thirsty Thursdays. Sodas and select draft beers will cost just $1. The Marauders offer Thirsty Thursday Club memberships for only $60 to receive a ticket to the remaining 12 Thursday home games, a club t-shirt, and the opportunity to earn great rewards all season. Each club member will also receive their first 12 ounce drink for free at each Thirsty Thursday game. Marauders season ticket holders can join the Thirsty Thursday Club for just $10.

Friday, April 18 is the first of 11 FREE SHIRT FRIDAYS, starting with an "It All Begins in Bradenton" t-shirt giveaway presented by DOS Imaging for the first 500 fans. The shirt features 2010 Marauder and current Pirates left fielder Starling Marte on the front. The 11 “Free Shirt Friday” t-shirts will not be available in stores. Come to each Friday home game at McKechnie Field and collect them all!

Every Friday home game is also a Happy Hour Friday presented by Pier 22 Restaurant. Between 5:30 and 6:30, 500 free hot dogs will be given away and there will be great drink specials from Kayem and Cheney Brothers.

Saturday, April 19 will be the Marauders annual pre-game Easter Egg Hunt at McKechnie Field. The hunt is open to children 13 and younger. The field will have 10,000 eggs scattered across it for children to collect and great prizes hidden inside the eggs. Children will be separated into age groups. Participating egg hunters should be in the ballpark by 5:45 p.m. Only fans with a ticket to Saturday’s game against Jupiter will be allowed into the ballpark for the egg hunt.

Every Saturday is a Silverauders Club Saturday. The Silverauders Club for fans 60 and older is presented by Humana. For just $30, Silverauders Club members receive a ticket to every Saturday game, a food voucher for each Saturday game, a Silverauders T-Shirt, and the chance to take a postgame senior stroll around the bases. Each Saturday game will also feature Baseball Bingo presented by Jersey Mike’s Subs and PLS Print.

The Marauders are off on Sunday, but be sure to check out the Sunday Edition of the Bradenton Herald for a two-for-one Tuesday coupon. There will be a coupon to get two tickets for the price of one at the game on Tuesday, April 22.

Monday, April 21 is A/C Warehouse BUYOUT Night presented in partnership with 106.5 WCTQ. Vouchers for free Outfield and Grandstand tickets are available at A/C Warehouse in Bradenton and at several other community locations. The voucher can also be printed online from www.BradentonMarauders.com. Fans can upgrade their free seat to an Infield Box or Reserve seat for $2 while supplies last.

The First Mates Kids Club takes over the ballpark on Tuesday, April 22. Kids 12 and under can join the club for $15 to receive a game ticket and meal voucher at 11 Tuesday home games, along with special experiences reserved for club members only during the season. Club members also receive a free ticket to the game on Sunday, June 22 with an invitation to a postgame ice cream social with the Marauders. After Tuesday games there will be a Kids Fun Run presented by Mosaic for all kids 12 and younger to circle the bases.

When purchased in advance, tickets for the regular season Marauders games cost $8 per seat for adult tickets in infield box, infield reserve, baseline box, and grandstand seats. Left field bleacher seats cost $6 per adult ticket. Tickets for children 12 and younger cost $7 in infield box, infield reserve, baseline box, and grandstand sections, and $5 per ticket in the left field bleachers. There is no change in day-of-game pricing for children’s tickets. The Marauders will offer a $1 military discount to anyone presenting a valid military ID at the McKechnie Field box office when purchasing tickets.

The McKechnie Field ticket office is open on non-gamedays Tuesday-Friday from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. On gamedays the ticket office is open from noon until the conclusion of the game.
