Florence Irene VanDyken, born April 5, 1932, was called to her heavenly home on June 15, 2024.
Florence was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry, and two children, Donald VanDyken and Vicki Ovens. She is survived by children, Butch and Deb Van Dyken, Ron and Jaci Lee, Luanne and Gary Moore, Cindy and Ed tenHaaf, and Tena and Michael Bos. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Eldean Doff and Karen Wieringa, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Florence was a member of First Baptist Church in Palmetto where she was active in the choir and hospitality ministries. She loved to bake and shared her creations with everyone she met.
She will be remembered by those who knew and loved her as a loving friend and family member.
A private burial will take place followed by a Celebration of Life in the fall. Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, Florida 34209 is handling arrangements
