Food and Dining Lee Roy Selmon's Tastes Like Summer

Posted

BRADENTON -- When you think about summer food you think ribs on the grill, fresh summer seafood, and sweet corn. What you should be thinking is Lee Roy Selmon's. Their summer menu is all the tastes of summer and so much more.

Lee Roy Selmon's is a traditional sports bar, with big TVs to watch the game on, a casual atmosphere, and cheerful knowledgable staff. Lee Roy Selmon's is also a great casual dining restaurant. Their menu is packed with delicious food for any appetite. Many of the recipes are Mr. Selmon's own family recipes. All of the sauces and dressings at Selmon's are made from scratch in house. This is not the kind of place you go for a run of the mill meal. It is a dining experience.

This summer Lee Roy Selmon's has a special summer menu. I got to sample a few items and they were amazing. The Rockin Shimp is awesome. Sweet meaty tempura battered shrimp fried to perfection and served with the best sweet chili sauce I have ever eaten. This sauce would make an old shoe taste like a gourmet meal.

The Asian Chicken Salad is refreshing, light, and filling. The ribs and gridiron steak were both perfect. The ribs are sweet and smokey, but not overly saucy. While the steak was tender and cooked just the way you like it. I always get my steak at Lee Roy Selmon's, "Selmon Style" this somewhat secret, very cool lingo, means that your steak comes topped with a parmesan and garlic butter...yum!

If you eat anything at Selmon's this summer, make sure you eat their new Sweet Sizzlin' Corn. Grilled White Sweet Corn brushed with chipotle mayo and rolled in Cotija Cheese. It is an out of this world experience.

Lee Roy Selmon's is a must try this summer. With eight locations in Tampa Bay, including two in Manatee County (Cortez Rd in West Bradenton and Cooper Creek Plaza in Lakewood Ranch), it is an easy choice for a great, convenient, and delicious meal.
