Florida Power & Light paid a bit more than $11.8 million in taxes, to lead the top 10 taxpayer list in Manatee County for the 2009 tax year. Right behind was Tropicana Products Inc. at a little more than $5.8 million and Gulfstream Natural Gas System LLC at a tad more than $2.6 million.
