Born on December 2, 1930, in Chicago, IL, Fran was a truly beautiful soul, cherished by many, and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Following her years as a homemaker, Fran embarked on a notable career with Allstate Insurance, culminating in her retirement in 1993 as a Senior Staff Systems Analyst. She relocated to Florida the same year and continued to lead an active life during her retirement. She was a dedicated member of the Sarasota Shell Club, earning accolades for her extraordinary, award-winning shell art. Moreover, she was an active participant in the Sarasota Philatelic Club and spent numerous years volunteering at the Mote Marine Aquarium.

She was predeceased by her husband, Hank Schlusemann, and is survived by her daughter, Eileen (Terry) Hansen, her son Jim (Lee) Schlusemann, and five grandchildren: Michael (Beth) Figuray, Jennifer Figuray, Rachel (Noah) Giblin, Dana (Nick) Wolek, and Tyler (Riana) Schlusemann. A Celebration of Life is planned for 2025 in Lakewood Ranch, FL, where friends and family will come together to celebrate her memory and legacy.

The family of Fran suggests that those wishing to honor her memory may do so through donations to Tidewell Hospice in her name.
