Bradenton, Florida - Ms. Francina Griggs of Bradenton, FL, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 525 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue East, Bradenton, FL 34208, with Reverend James Roberts Officiating. Interment will follow in Skyway Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5200 US Highway 19N, Palmetto, FL 34221.
Ms. Francina Griggs was a native of Bradenton, FL, and a resident for 70 years. She attended Manatee County Schools her entire life, graduating from Southeast High School in 1971. She was a St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church member, serving with the Women of Faith Book Club. She was employed as a Secretary at Suncoast Magnet High School for 19 years in West Palm Beach, FL.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, George and Lauretha Griggs; and brothers, Rudolph Griggs and Ralph Griggs.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Issaac Bullock (Tonia); granddaughters, Isyss and Titeanna; great-grandson, Elias James Edwards; sister, Loretha (Leonard), and Diana; brothers, Morris (Andronette), Edward (Janice) of Atlanta, GA, Ronnie (Pandora) of Michigan, DT, and Clayton (Sharon) of West Palm Beach, FL; sisters-in-law, Zelda, and Rosa; goddaughter, Alberto Hankins of West Palm Beach, FL; great aunt, Mozell Rhodes; aunt, Mae Frances Golf of Rochester, NY; uncle, Clyde Jones of Rochester, NY; friends for many years, Patricia Alexander of Atlanta, GA, Michelle McPhee of West Palm Beach, FL, Paulette Benton of Rochester, NY, and Evett Sanders of Palmetto, FL; and a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at St Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 525 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue East, Bradenton, FL 34208.
