Francine Edwards Rhodes was born to the late Willie Edwards, Sr., and Lillie Mae Edwards on August 25, 1931, in Madison, FL. She completed high school in Madison, FL. Francine moved to Bradenton, FL, in 1950 along with her parents and siblings. She moved to New York for a short period of time.

Francine moved back to Bradenton where she preceded her career as a surgical tech for 15 years, dress designer of 20 years, caregiver for Dr. Springer family for over 10 years, and she then cared for the Hunters family for over 15 years which led into her retirement.

Francine was preceded in death by her late husband, John Rhodes. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, brothers, Willie Jr. and Cary Edwards; sisters, Hattie Mae and Nikki Edwards "lil Nikki;" and five children, Barbara Edwards, Frank Williams, Michael Williams, Anora Jones, and Tyrone Rhodes, all of Bradenton, FL.

She leaves to treasure fond memories, love, and strength: her three children, Robert Williams, Lillie Carter (Lathial), and Sandra Jefferson, all of Bradenton, FL; one sister, Dola Miller "Nikki;" 18 grandchildren, 34 great- grandchildren, and 36 great-great-grandchildren, all of Bradenton, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends.
