Francis Edmund Jakubajtys Jr., known affectionately as Frank to his loved ones, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 59 on February 18, 2025, in Bradenton, FL. Born on July 17, 1965, in Boston, MA, Frank lived a vibrant life, characterized by his passion for the arts, his skillful hands, and his infectious sense of humor.
Frank was preceded in death by his devoted parents, Marie Helen Foye and Francis Edmund (Jake) Jakubajtys Sr., as well as his beloved sisters, Jean Marie Thompson and Patricia Ann Gill. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter through his cherished children: Logan Jakubajtys and his wife Amanda; Lexie Viglione; Tyler Viglione; and Eavan Jakubajtys. His joy was multiplied with the birth of his granddaughter, Reagan Jakubajtys, who will carry on his spirit of creativity and kindness.
Frank is also survived by his sister, Laura Stevenson, who will miss his guidance and camaraderie, and by his cherished friend, Kevin Laslie, with whom he shared many of life's adventures. He also leaves behind Beate Simokat Viglione, to whom he was married since 2004. Though they spent their later years on separate paths, they remained connected through the family they built together. Frank's absence will be deeply felt by the many family members and friends whose lives he touched with his humor, creativity, and generosity.
As a respected business owner, Frank was renowned for his craftsmanship as a talented contractor and carpenter. His artistic flair was evident in every project he undertook, leaving a trail of beauty and durability in homes and establishments throughout his community. Frank's ability to transform raw materials into functional art was not only his profession but also his calling.
Beyond his work, Frank's interests were as varied as they were passionate. He had a remarkable talent for singing and dancing, often becoming the life of the party with his performances. His love for drawing and woodworking allowed him to express his creative side, and many will remember him for the custom pieces he created, each imbued with a touch of his personality.
Frank was also an avid Jeep enthusiast, reveling in the freedom and adventure that came with driving off the beaten path. His love for Jeeping was just another facet of his multifaceted life, reflecting his appreciation for both the journey and the destination.
