Frederick Collins

Frederick R Collins, born on November 9, 1933 in Chester, Pa. On the evening of September 21, 2024, he departed this life peacefully in his home in Palmetto, Florida.

Frederick was born to the late William H. and Artelia R. Walker Collins. Fred was educated in the Chester School District before going on to serve his country in the United States Army from 1951 to 1954. While in the Army, Corporal Collins was assigned to the 7th Field Artillery Regiment in Swankford, Germany and also earned the National Defense Service Medal before being honorably discharged in 1954.

Frederick was employed by Scott Paper Company in Chester, Pa before retiring in 1994. Some of his favorite past times included watching the news on CNN and MSNBC. He also enjoyed watching detective and comedy TV shows like Perry Mason, Murder She Wrote, and Sanford and son.

Frederick was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lee Collins, sister Julia Holmes, and 6 brothers, Samuel Collins, McClure Collins, Edwin Collins, John Collins, Leroy Collins, and Ronald Collins.

Fred will be lovingly remembered by his children Anthony Collins (LaKeisha), Pamela Collins-Buckley, Darryl Collins, Ava Fowlkes, Zakia Collins, sisters Doris Lawrence, Ruth Raymond, brother Joseph Collins, 22 Grand children, 19 Great grand children, and a host of family and friends.
