Frederick Polseno, Jr.

Polseno, Sr., Frederick C., 77 of Bradenton, FL, formerly of Cranston, RI, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on December 15, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Miami, FL, he was the son of the late Anthony and Emily (Ferrante) Polseno Sr.

He was the husband of Joan (Travaglio) Polseno and the father of Gina Lee Polseno (Michael O'Brien) of Jacksonville, FL and the late Lisa Lee Polseno. Father also to Frederick C. Polseno, Jr. and his wife Kristin of Parrish, FL. He was the proud grandfather of Jason and Mia Polseno. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.

He is survived by his siblings Anthony Polseno, Gloria DelGreco, Emily Russo, Raymond Polseno and John Polseno. He is preceded in death by his siblings Daniel Polseno, Michael Polseno, Gertrude Jones, and Anna Polseno.

Frederick, along with his wife Joan, were the co-owners and operators of Johnston Lawnmower & Power Equipment from 1984 to 1997. Upon moving to FL he established PolsenoTech Services LLC and served as a consultant for several major companies in the power equipment industry.

He was a parishioner of Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles Church in Bradenton, FL. Fred enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and spending time with his family. He was known for his eggplant parmesan and his homemade RI Pizza Strips.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 11, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles Church, 2850 75th St W, Bradenton. The family will also hold a Mass and Celebration of Life in Rhode Island at a later date. Burial will be private.
