Bradenton - Fritz (Fred) Kaufmann, 83, of Langenthal, Switzerland, passed away on 11/6/2023 in Bradenton, Florida. Born on January 28, 1940, Fred was a wonderful person who lived a remarkable life.
Fred attended the Langenthal Professional Culinary School, where he honed his passion for cooking. After completing his education, he embarked on a successful career as a restaurateur and chef, leaving a lasting impression on the culinary world. In addition to his professional achievements, Fred had several hobbies that brought him joy. He enjoyed ice hockey, was a lover of travel, a wonderful father and friend and a dedicated cook who delighted in experimenting with new flavors and techniques. Fred also proudly served in the Swiss Army as part of the Infantry. His military service instilled in him a sense of discipline and dedication that he carried throughout his life.
As a person who valued community, Fred understood the importance of giving back. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Tidewell Hospice, an organization that provides compassionate care to those in need.
Fred will be deeply missed by his loved ones and all those whose lives he touched. May his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all. Survived by his former wife Gigi and their three children and two grandchildren: Virginia, Greg (Misty) and Frederick (Debi), along with grandchildren Luke and Eric; Sisters Annegret and Ruth along with her children Monica and Daniel. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
