Gary Robert Gray, 77, of Bradenton passed suddenly on October 6 2025. He was born in Ft. Myers on September 3, 1948 to Johnny and Marguarette (nee Stacy) Gray. The family later expanded to include his younger sisters Vicki (Rick) and Barbara (Joe). Gary graduated from Southeast High School before joining the military and serving his country in Vietnam.
Gary married Jean (nee Simon) Bell in 1993 after 20 loving years together. Jean was the love of his life. They lived together on Longboat Key and then in Bradenton, with many epic trips to Vegas in between. Gary was an early computer wizard, loved spending time with with his children and grandchildren and became a great grandfather this year. Gary enjoyed poker, cooking and his time with family and friends. He was always on the lookout for a new recipe to share with everyone. Gary hosted the world's greatest bi-weekly poker game, cooking for the poker crew each game.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife Jean. He is survived by his step-children Chris Bell, Barry (Karen) Bell and Chip Bell, his grandchildren Taylor, Mason Ethan (Bre), Daryl, Matt and Hallie, and his new great grandchild Braxton.
He will be sorely missed by all of us.
