George C. Brinckerhoff, Jr., 89, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on September 15, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Jean for more than 68 years, the adored father of Beau and Tracy and loving dog dad to Tilly.

Including the love for being with his family, he loved to feed the squirrels, ducks and birds in his back yard. He spent more than 15 years as a volunteer with Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium on their care team for rehabilitating injured sea turtles and dolphins.

He was also a jack of all trades from electrical, plumbing, gardening, auto repair, building barns and building motocross trails. He began his commercial flying career with Capital Airlines and remained with United Airlines after they merged with Capital Airlines. He retired in 1995 as Captain after 37 years.

Besides Jean, Tracy and Beau, he is survived by grandchildren, Kristin and Matthew; his brother, Jeff; his nieces, Jill and Heather; nephews, Jeff and Bert. In addition, he was preceded in death by his sister, Laura.
