Gerald Albert Dahl, 92, passed away on March 12, 2024, in Bradenton, Florida. He was born August 23, 1931, in Providence, Rhode Island, to Carl and Edna H. (nee Henrikson) Dahl. He formerly lived in Warwick, RI, Bartlett, NH and finally moving to Bradenton, FL.
He was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and a graduate of the School of Banking of Rutgers University. He had a stellar career in banking, becoming the Assistant VP of Citizens Bank in Providence, RI. Gerald retired as the President of Omega Financial Corporation and the VP of Regnier Associates, in Cranston, RI. He was a past president of the Providence Rhode Island Chapter Institute of Real Estate Management.
Gerald served in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and later as a Marine Corps Aviator in the Far East. After his career in the Marine Corps, Gerald became a pilot for the Rhode Island National Guard.
He lived a life dedicated to his country, his family, and his community. Gerald was a member of the Marine Corp Leage, a former member of Warwick, Rhode Island Country Club, North Conway, New Hampshire, Country Club, and the Key Royale Holmes Beach, Florida, Golf Club.
Gerald is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Sanda (nee Willoughby) Dahl; sons, Mark E. Dahl of Houston, TX; Roy J. Dahl of Montgomery, TX, and stepsons, W.H. "Brock" Tuppeny of Seattle, WA, and Christopher R. Tuppeny of New Port Ritchey, FL. He is also survived by his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, Kyle Dahl, Jessica (Joe) Miller; Ainsley, Palmer; Alyssa (Cody) January, Piper, Hatcher; Brock Tuppeny and Lucas Tuppeny; Christopher Tuppeny and Lauren Tuppeny Turcotte.
