Palmetto - Guy Raymond Washinger II, 76 of Palmetto, FL passed peacefully on March 11, 2025 at Tidewell Hospice House in Bradenton, FL surrounded by family.
Guy was born on January 27, 1949, in Cumberland, MD to Mac Washinger and Aileen (nee Peterson) Washinger. Guy grew up in Chambersburg, PA and received his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Southern Illinois University and master's degree in chemistry from Northern Illinois University. Guy was highly accomplished in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Guy was known for his love of family and friends and enjoyed many hobbies including boating, scuba diving, fishing, tennis and golf. He loved attending Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies games and also driving his Corvette.
Guy is survived by his loving wife Jean Washinger of 21 years, son Michael Washinger (wife Kristy), daughters Jill Higginson (husband Chris) and Lori Trickel (husband Colin), and sisters Sally Ankney and Susan Sisto (husband Joel). His five grandchildren - Sara, Sammie, Charlotte, Jack, and Spencer - always put a smile on his face.
Guy's joy and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed.
