Helen (Bardwell) Braun, 99, died peacefully from natural causes in her home with her family by her side.
Helen was born April 19, 1925 in Isabella County, Michigan. She attended a small county school called Cohoon about a mile from her home and graduated from Sheperd High School in 1943. Helen moved to Midland, Michigan after graduation and worked as a telephone operator for several years. She met Ulmont Bardwell in 1943 and they were married in 1944. She worked for the City of Midland from 1955 to 1980. Helen was predeceased by her son, Richard L. Bardwell; her husband of 39 years, Ulmont L. Bardwell; and her husband, Ted Braun of 20 years. She leaves behind her daughter, Cheryl Kerr; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 10AM Monday June 17, 2024 with Services to follow at 11AM at the Ware-Smith Funeral Home in Midland, Michigan. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Tidewell Hospice of Port Charlotte, Florida.
