Bradenton, Florida - Born July 2, 1932 in Darby, PA - August 20, 2024, at 92 years old.
Born Helen Jones of Alden, Pennsylvania. Daughter of James Jones and Florence Twaddell- Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard L. Mozer, Siblings: James Jones. Marion Weightman and Roland Jones. and granddaughter, Angela Casadonte. Helen is survived by a sister Flossie Anderson.
She was married for 27 years to her high school sweetheart Howard L. Mozer of Collingdale, PA. Together they had eight children; Helen (Steve) Eslinger, Linda Casadonte, Howard L. Mozer Jr., Marybeth Curtis, Michael (Donna) Mozer, Lance Mozer, Leslie (John) McBride, and Lisa (Sheldon) Proffitt. Over her lifetime she resided in many states; Darby, PA, Olympia Washington, Aston PA, Chicago, (Steger) IL, Sharon Hill, PA, Newark, DE, Long Neck, DE and Bradenton, FL.
Before becoming a mother and homemaker, she worked as a switchboard operator. She was widowed in 1978 and devoted her life to raising her children and her family.
She returned to employment outside of the home in 1986 working for State Farm Insurance Company in Newark, DE.
Helen's proud Legacy leaves behind her eight children, sixteen grand-children (Halle, Laura, Steven, Joseph, Tarin, Howard L III, Daniel, Michael Christopher, Kyle, Ashley, Taylor, Michael Gavin, Madison, Kaili and Tyler. and 15 Great-grand children.
Helen moved from Long Neck, DE to Bradenton FL in the late 1990's. She was active in caring for the elderly and volunteering for Manatee Memorial Hospital and at the Habitat for Humanities Resale Store.
She enjoyed playing dominos, knitting, the beach and traveling. Later in life coloring became her passion and loved sharing all of her artwork.
She was deeply loved and will be missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and their spouses.
Helen will be laid to rest, along side of her husband, at Head of Christiana Cemetery in Newark, Delaware at a later date this year.
