HuB Seed Fund Launches in SRQ

Posted

SARASOTA — HuB has been a major engine for new company growth in the Sarasota region and with the launch of the HuB Seed Fund, Ryntal Property Management founder Chris Abbot and his team at Abbeton hope that will continue to be the case. The fund will work in coordination with the HuB Incubation program to help entrepreneurs launch their local ideas.

Dan Miller and Chris Abbott have already won accolades for their successful launch of the Abbeton Accelerator Fund, which serves to invest in innovative startup ideas. The entrepreneurs have a wealth of experience in providing new businesses with access to the expertise, advice and funding necessary to go forward, in exchange for an equity position in the venture.

The HuB Seed Fund project describes itself as "a partner investing with non-tech entrepreneurs in tech-based ideas." According to the project's website, the HuB Seed Fund is currently funded by $1.5 million investment dollars, designed to support local entrepreneurs in the Sarasota/Bradenton area who are looking to bring their ideas to life.

HuB is a conceptual work space in Sarasota that seeks to build a creative local economy through the synergy of housing both established and up and coming creatives in a dynamic environment through which their collaborations can be mutually beneficial.
