Posted

The ramp from southbound I-275 to northbound I-75 will be closed Wednesday night starting at 11 p.m., the Florida Department of Transportation said Tuesday.

From north of Mendoza Road northbound to south of Moccasin Wallow Road, a construction project consisting of milling and resurfacing the roadway, guardrail improvements, and signing and pavement markings is taking place. There will be intermittent nighttime lane closures throughout the duration of the project from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

In addition, improvements are also being made to the southbound (east) I-275 exit ramp to northbound I-75 on Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. During this time, the ramp will be closed to the public.

Here is a map of the ramp closure and detour. Motorists are advised to follow the suggested detour route.

From southbound (east) I-275 exit ramp to northbound I-75, motorists in Manatee County on southbound (east) I-275 wishing to exit onto northbound I-75 are advised to exit onto U.S. 41 (Exit 2), turn left (north) on U.S. 41 to Moccasin Wallow Road, turn right (east) on Moccasin Wallow Road and proceed to the I-75 interchange.
