Jerry Hill Fishing Tournament May 12
The 26th annual Jerry Hill Memorial Kids Free Fishing Tournament returns to the Green Bridge this Saturday. Kids 7-14 are eligible. The catch and release event takes place from 8-10 a.m. and is followed by a free lunch. Registration is from 7-8:00 a.m.
The event is sponsored by the Manatee Sarasota Fish and Game Association, North Manatee Kiwanis, Bradenton Kiwanis and the Palmetto Parks and Recreation Department. Click here for the official entry form, which contains tournament rules and additional information.

Southwest winds will reach cautionary levels this evening from Tampa Bay northward along the Nature Coast. The cold front will then settle southward through the forecast waters tonight into Thursday. Flow will turn northerly in the wake of the front through Thursday night and then veer easterly for the upcoming weekend. The flow this weekend will be elevated with periods of cautionary to advisory level winds, especially during the overnight and early morning hours.
