ishing Volunteers Needed for 30th Annual Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival

CORTEZ -- The Cortez Historical Society is in search of volunteers for the 30th Annual Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival, February 18 and 19. Volunteer shifts are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Those interested can sign up for shifts by emailing villagelady27@verizon.net. Give your name, phone number and time and day of the shift you would like to volunteer for.

The Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival proceeds benefit the F.I.S.H. Preserve. This year's event will take place Saturday-Sunday February 18 and 19, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will include live music, real Florida seafood, arts and museum displays, and other family fun activities. Admission is $2, kids under 12 get in free.
