The Rev. James E. Buckles, 93, of Palmetto, Florida, peacefully entered into God's presence on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Born in Bon Ayr to Roderick and Generose Buckles, James grew up in Elizabethtown before his faithful journey led him to answer God's calling. The Rev. Buckles devoted 48 years to ministry in the Pilgrim Holiness and Wesleyan Church, shepherding six congregations across Kentucky, Indiana and Florida. His greatest pastoral gift was relational evangelism, touching countless lives through meaningful connections that led many to Christ.
