New Haven, Connecticut - James "Jim", "Jimmy" Francis Courcey, Sr., age 81 of Bradenton, FL and formerly of Madison, CT, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025 in Jamestown, RI surrounded by family.
Jim was born in New Haven, CT, son of the late Daniel J. Courcey and Catherine Heenan Courcey O'Connell.
He was the devoted husband of the late Gail Hayes Courcey. Jim was the loving father of Kathleen C. McFadden (Mark), of Hamden, CT and James F. Courcey, Jr. (Tanya) of Boston, MA; caring brother of Daniel Courcey, Jr. (Sharon) of Branford, CT, and Joan Goldstein (Leon) of Jamestown, RI. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great- nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his longtime partner Kristine Nordstrom of Plymouth, MA and his golden doodle, Molly.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated for Jim at 10:30 am on Friday, December 19, 2025 in St. Margaret Church, 24 Academy St., Madison, CT. His burial will follow in West Cemetery, Boston Post Rd., Madison, CT.
