Posted

James Leonard Meade was born on June 19, 1951 to Elbert and Betty Meade of White Bear Lake, Minnesota.

Jim served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Jim met and married the love of his life, Becky Meade.

Jim worked for the United States Postal Service at the Minneapolis, Minnesota airport location where he worked the dreaded night shift.
Jim had 2 beautiful daughters. Vanessa and Heather. They were the apple of his eye. He absolutely loved being a dad.

Jim enjoyed Golfing and hosting pool parties where he was The Grilling King. Jim and Becky had a "Open Door" policy and were so kind and welcoming to anyone who needed them. Jim carved out time in his busy schedule to deliver Meals On Wheels to that much needed population.

They moved to Arivaca, Arizona to retire. They lived a simple and quiet life out in the middle of nowhere. They loved every second of it.

Jim is preceded in death by the love of his life Becky Meade(wife), his father Elbert Meade, his mother Betty Meade and his older brother David Meade. He is survived by his daughters Vanessa(Brian)Carpenter and Heather(Sherry) Dickerson. His grandchildren Felix Carpenter and Ainsley Carpenter. Jean Duffy (sister-in-law and wonderful caretaker) and many nieces and nephews.

Jim had a big smile and a contagious laugh. He will be greatly missed. Forever in our hearts.
