James Nathanson, 98, passed away on January 3, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Born in St. Louis and having spent many years in Kansas City, Jim worked in the trucking and delivery services industry his whole life. When he retired in the mid-1990s, he sold Mo-Kan Courier Service, which he founded, to partners.
Jim and his beloved wife, Marcia Nathanson, later moved to Florida. There, he found great joy in golfing (including several holes-in-one), playing poker with friends, and savoring scalding hot coffee each morning.
Known for his warmth and sense of humor, Jim made friends wherever he went. Above all, he will be remembered as a kind, generous, and thoughtful person.
Jim is survived by his daughters, Beth Neff and Lisa Nathanson; his grandchildren, Esther Neff, Isaac Neff, Leah Frankel, and Daniel Neff; and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Marcia; his parents, Harvey and Fan Nathanson; and his sister, Joan Frelich.
