Parrish, Florida - "Jan" Madilyn LaFleur Eckel passed away at home in the arms of the Lord on March 1,2025. Her beloved husband Paul T. Eckel was by her side, softly holding Jan's hand as she peacefully entered "eternal life". Daughter Faith Eckel was her loving devoted live-in caregiver. Jan was born August 26,1935, in Washington DC. Jan married the love of her life Dr. Paul T. Eckel in 1955.

Together they found holding hands in prayer deepened their experience in God's love for them, and their love for the Lord. Jan enjoyed singing in her church choir. She cherished her role in Bible Mission USA/Word from God Inc. as an administrator/treasurer for over a decade.
Jan loved traveling and organizing groups for Holy Land tours and the adventure of experiencing new cultures. Jan taught Sunday school in her church and served as a pastor's wife for 65 years.
Jan loved her summer cottage on Bustins Island, Maine for over 60 years. Overlooking Casco Bay, entertaining friends and family with a lobster party & homemade blueberry pie.
