Bradenton, Florida - Jan Soudijn passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, in Bradenton, Florida, at the age of 87. Born on January 9, 1938, in the Netherlands, Jan's journey was marked by courage, adventure, and an unwavering commitment to his family.
Jan's life was a testament to his belief in hard work and education. He earned a bachelor's degree in Agricultural and Chemistry. Jan Founder and President of Florida Worldwide Citrus, where his leadership and innovative ideas greatly contributed to the industry. Family was the cornerstone of Jan's life. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Marianne Soudijn, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories. His legacy continues through his sons, Marc (deceased) Peter (Louella) and Arthur; and his grandchildren, Matthew (Brandy), Morgan (Trevor), Tatiana (Jack), Evan, Lily, and Karina. His great-grandchildren, Carter, Tanner, Xander, Penny, Olivia, Ella, and Charlotte, each of whom brought him great joy. Jan's interests were as diverse as his talents. An avid hockey and cricket fan, he could often be found cheering on his favorite teams with the same passion he brought to every aspect of his life. Traveling was another of Jan's passions, and he took every opportunity to explore new places and cultures, which only broadened his perspective and zest for life.
Jazz music filled his home with warmth and rhythm, a reflection of his own harmonious nature. Jan was also an aviation enthusiast, a hobby that spoke to his love of freedom and adventure. A true "do it yourself" person. Jan Soudijn will be remembered as a man who lived life to the fullest, with a courageous heart and a loving soul. His optimism was contagious, and those who knew him were better for it. Jan's memory will live on, not only in the lives of his family but in the countless others he touched with his generous spirit and unwavering kindness.
He will be deeply missed, but the legacy of his love and the memories he created will endure forever. A visitation will be held on Tuesday December 9, 2025, from 1 to 2 pm.
