Jean Daily Bloxsome, formerly of Munster, IN, died May 26, 2025 in Bradenton, FL.
She is survived by her grandson, Trevor, son-in-law, Richard Gorgan, nephews, Kenn Daily (Sherri) and David Bradford, niece, Marilyn Daily, stepsons, Jeff Bloxsome (Kathleen) and Randy Bloxsome (Wendy), step grandchildren, Josh, Meghan, Bailey, Logan, and Lauren, and sister-in-law, Janet Harmening (Lou). She is preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Daily Grogan, first husband, Thomas Daily, her second husband, John Bloxsome, her parent, Ellen (Ted) Winiarczyk and Donald (Ruth) Lewis.
She was an elder in the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Munster, IN and a founding member of Peace Presbyterian Church in Lakewood Ranch.
A graduate of Indiana State University, she was president of Gamma Phi Beta sorority collegiate and alumnae chapters and was Director of Alumnae Expansion on the international level. She was president of Munster Panhellenic, Tri Kappa in Hammond, IN, and PEO, Chapter GI, in Bradenton.
She taught English and journalism at Thornridge in Dolton, IL and advised the newspaper and yearbook. She retired in Bradenton in 1994 and in 1995 began a 14 year career at Macy's in the office.
Memorial Services will be held at Peace Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 2pm.
