Jean Marie Gentry, 84, passed away on September 14, 2025, in Sun City at the LifePath Hospice House surrounded by her loved ones. Born on September 4, 1941, Jean lived a full and generous life marked by dedication to her family, her community and worship of the lord.
Jean built a successful career as a banker, where her professionalism and integrity earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Beyond her work, she was known for her caring nature and unwavering support for those around her.
She found joy in simple pleasures-crocheting intricate patterns, solving puzzles, and playing card games with friends and loved ones. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family.
Jean is lovingly remembered by her three children: Monica Perrigo; Nichole (Anthony) Adamo; and Chris (Betty) Gentry and her daughter-in-law Bonnie Gentry. Her younger sister Joyce (Dale) Margritz and younger brother Jim (Molly) Fees survive her as well, along with sister-in-law Linda Fees.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Tyler Perrigo; Caitlin Nieder; Cassidy Nieder; Graeme Perrigo; Ally Adamo; and Makenzie Gentry. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Emma Livingston, River Lord, Haley Perrigo, and Hunter Perrigo.
Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband Raeford Carroll Gentry; father Frank Charles Fees; mother Mayme Fees; brother Frank Charles Fees Jr.; and stepson Tim Gentry.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 11, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Veranda Springs Community Center in Parrish, Florida.
Jean was a devoted member of St. Frances Cabrini Church in Parrish. In honor of her giving spirit, donations may be made to Feeding Empty Little Tummies in Palmetto Florida.
Her warmth and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
