On January 14, 2026, Jeanine V. Sperduto passed away peacefully at the age of 91 and was reunited in heaven with her beloved parents, Rosemary and Edward Weekin, and her cherished twin sister, Aileen "Bunny" Barry. Jeanine is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Ernest Sperduto, her children, Suzanne Woods (Thomas) and Steven Sperduto (Linda); and her four grandchildren, Bryan Woods, Jonathan Woods (Haley), Kellie Sperduto, and Tony Sperduto, all of whom will miss her dearly. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews, Karen (Keith), Carol, Cathy (Bob), Lizzie (Eddie) Rob (Trina) and Joey (Theresa) and grandnieces and grandnephews, Caroline, Matthew and Nicholas.

Jeanine was born on May 29, 1934, in Newark, New Jersey. Jeanine had a wonderful childhood, surrounded by loving parents, aunts and uncles, who affectionately called her Boots.

She shared a lifelong, inseparable bond with her twin sister, Aileen "Bunny" often calling her, "my other half". She proudly attended St. Michael's K-12 Catholic School. During high school she enjoyed working at the local Five-and-Dime and later went on to work as an actuarial assistant at Mutual Benefit Insurance Company in Newark, NJ and then at Mutual of New York in Midtown Manhattan. She married Ernest on March 2, 1957, and honeymooned in Bermuda. Jeanine and Ernest made their home in East Northport, New York, where they raised their family. During those years she enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader.

In 1976 the family moved to Bradenton, Florida, where she worked as a cook for the Manatee County Schools, and enjoyed volunteering for Bingo at St Joseph's Catholic Church. Jeanine loved her family above all else and cherished the time she spent with them, always planning family parties, trips and going to all her grandchildren's events.

Some of her most treasured memories were trips to Disney with her children and grandchildren, moments that will be lovingly remembered and shared for generations. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, sewing, gardening, long walks, golf and tennis. Jeanine and Ernest were avid travelers. In the early years traveling around the United States with their children and later on she and Ernest enjoyed many adventures together, journeying across Europe and as far as Egypt and Russia.

She was incredibly bright, had a remarkable memory recalling stories, names, and moments from long ago with ease. She delighted in sharing her stories, held her faith close, and enjoyed life's simple pleasures, like a Guinness on ice. Jeanine's love, strength, and devotion to her family defined her life and left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Her family will forever cherish her wisdom, her laughter, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Please join us for a visitation on Monday, January 19, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Brown and Sons Funeral Home 604 43rd Street Bradenton, FL.
