Meridian, Idaho - Jeanne E Schrader, age 104, of Meridian, Idaho, died on September 7, 2024. She was born in Hillsdale, MI, on May 28, 1920 and graduated from Hillsdale High in 1938. She attended the University of Colorado where she became a member of Pi Beta Phi. She married Paul K Young and after WWII, she resided in Jackson, MI, until moving to Bradenton, FL in 1991.

Jeanne was a 50 year member of the Jackson Junior Welfare League, a member of the Jackson Women's Club, a charter member of the Jackson Pi Beta Phi alumnae club, and a real estate agent. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Hillsdale, later St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Jackson, and after her 1976 marriage to Raymond C Schrader, she joined the South Jackson Community Church. In Bradenton, FL, she became a member of the Palma Sola Presbyterian Church where she served in many capacities, including moderator for the Church Women. Jeanne later moved to Meridian, Idaho to be closer to her son, Mark, where she made many friends and enjoyed exploring the great outdoors.

Jeanne was a world traveler and delighted in her family and friends, whom she dearly loved. Her family remembers her fondly and is thankful for the many years we were able to spend with Jeanne. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Paula J Johnson, and her son, Mark K Young. She is survived by her grandchildren George Johnson, Cynthia Simonson, Kimberly Chijiiwa, and Hilary Dolan; and her great grandchildren Rush, Chris, Brittany, Jorgen, Kristian, Adalyn, Milo, Harrison, and Arden.
