Jesse Linn Davis, 77, of Bradenton, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at his residence.
Jesse was born in East Saint Louis, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen A. Davis and his daughters, Melissa M. Brussee (husband, Tim), Christina N. Smith (husband, Adam) and Jessica L. Davis. He was also survived by several grandchildren who loved him dearly and referred to him as the G-man.
Jesse served in the Navy before becoming a well-respected Manatee County Utilities manager of security. He was also proud to serve twenty years as the Fire Commissioner for West Manatee Fire and Rescue District. In retirement Jesse took-up martial arts and worked to earn his blackbelt. Jesse loved the Lord and his family. His unique humor and boisterous personality could light up any room and leave an unforgettable impression. He left a testimony and witness as an overcomer and he was always willing to share his heart and the love of Christ’s forgiveness to anyone.
Visitation will be 5-7 PM, Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, Florida. Services will be 11 AM, Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the Dream Church, 5019 37th St E, Bradenton, Florida.
