Jessica "Jessie" Joann Rost, 52, was taken from us far too soon when she passed away on March 8, 2025, in Bradenton, Florida.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jessie dedicated her life to caring for others. She earned an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Manatee Community College before obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Petersburg College. Her academic excellence was recognized when she was elected as a member of the National Vocational Technical Honor Society.
A multi-state registered nurse, Jessie devoted her career to hospice care, patient advocacy, and private duty nursing. Her compassion and dedication touched countless lives, offering comfort and support to those in need. She was known for her fierce loyalty to her patients, the causes she believed in, and the people she loved.
Jessie is survived by her mother, Marie Damian Rost; her sisters, Renae Rost Gregoire, Astina Jones, and Marie Rost Rublee, along with their spouses; and her beloved nieces and nephews: Nicole Jones, Matthew Gregoire, J.R. Gregoire, Annette Gregoire, River Rublee, Alyssa Freemont, and Jayce Freemont. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins will also miss her deeply.
Beyond her professional life, Jessie had a deep love for cats and a passion for astronomy. She was an avid reader who devoured fantasy and romance novels. Traveling brought her great joy-especially cruising to new destinations. Those who knew her will remember her sharp intellect, wry sense of humor, and unwavering willingness to speak her mind.
