Lady Lakes, Florida - Jessie Vinson "Vince" Drymond, 83, passed away on December 27, 2023 in Ocala, Florida after cardiac disease complications. He was born on December 5, 1940 in Cortez, Florida to O.K. and Blanche Idella Drymond. He grew up in Cortez and graduated from Manatee High School in 1958. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army and Florida National Guard. He married his first wife, Sandy McIntosh and they had two children, a son, Jason Vincent Drymond and daughter, Jessica Lynn Drymond.
Vince had various occupations as a fisherman, boat builder, sr technician in a Diammonium Phosphate plant, and artist. He spent several years in Magnolia Texas helping his father in his last days. His hobbies were fishing and art. He could draw or paint anything.
Vince will always be remembered for his quick wit and funny stories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, O.K. and Blanche Idella Drymond and a baby sister, Mary Rochelle, his daughter, Jessica, his brother, Otis Drymond, and his second wife, Kelly Drymond. He is survived by his son, Jason and Jason's girlfriend, Deana, his granddaughter, Cheyenne Kelsey Drymond, 2 great-granddaughters, Baylin Rose McGillard and Alaya Raine Moria, his grandson, Charles Vincent Drymond, his sister, Janet Pringle and her husband, Ray, his special cousin, Tessie Wallace, the Texas family and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held at Parrish Cemetery, Parrish, FL at a future date.
