Bradenton, Florida - Joan Celeste went home to be with The Lord on Sunday, August 4th surrounded by family. Joan lived happily in Bradenton, Florida, for the past 21 years with her devoted daughter, Jill. She was born 15th of 15 children, in Detroit, MI, to the late Rose (Sosnowski) and John Lehman. In 1959,

Joan was married to her loving husband, Joseph, and went on to have 3 children, Michael, Jill and Lisa. They had a storybook marriage lasting 42 years until her husband tragically passed from lung cancer.

Joan was an incredibly loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was a devout Catholic with a generous and giving spirit and a heart of gold. She always put family first and especially loved big holiday dinners, always getting started very early in the morning because she was so excited to have her family together.

She was fun, funny and adventurous. Joan was a very talented hair dresser and later a deli owner who made the best sandwiches and party trays. She assisted her husband with his real estate business and together, they also refurbished houses, providing opportunities to many to become homeowners. Joan had a natural knack for decorating. She brought joy to everyone who knew her and will be missed beyond words.

Dearly beloved mother and wife, Joan was preceded in passing by her husband, Joseph and son Michael. She is survived by her daughters, Jill and Lisa (husband, Otto) and granddaughters, Sydney and Jessica. We have been so blessed to have a mother with such unconditional pure love, who was always there when we needed her most, offering support, wisdom and love in abundance.

We will miss you every day and your light and love will shine forever

Services will be held at Our Lady of Angels, Lakewood Ranch on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 10:30 am. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel, 5624 26th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34207, is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be sent to www.brownandsonsfuneral.com.
