Joan M. Duffy (Normandin), 80, of Bradenton FL., passed away peacefully, May 14, 2025, in her home surrounded by family and loved ones.

Born in Fitchburg MA. She lived in MA. most of her life, and in FL. after retirement. She graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1963, after which she worked for the telephone company, then married and had children. She was a real estate sales agent with Pandiscio in Fitchburg MA. and also worked as an accounts receivable accountant at the family business, Ranor Inc., in Westminster MA. She was an incredible artist in many mediums, interior decorating, stained glass, painting, sewing, creating greeting cards, gardening, landscaping, cooking, caretaking, and served as president of her condo association. She enjoyed trips to the casino, Texas holdem poker, and playing games with family and friends.

She was a loving daughter, wife, sister, mother, aunt, and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her father Robert A. Normandin Sr., Mother Bella J. (nee LaRoche), brother Robert A. Normandin Jr., honorable veteran of the US Army, husband (the love of her life) John P. Duffy, honorable veteran of the US Air Force.

She is survived by her daughter Claire M. Haase, of Bradenton FL, and son Stephen V. Duffy II (Christina), of Bradenton FL. Son in Law Stephen M. Haase of Fitchburg, MA, Grandchildren Shane Haase of Fitchburg MA., Samantha Duffy of Boxborough MA., Katherine Duffy of Fitchburg MA., three great grandchildren, Sister in law Ellen DiGeronimo of Fitchburg MA., Siblings Beloved Sister and best friend Carol (Len) Normandin Schreter of NV., Peter (Julie) Normandin of MA., Dennis (Deborah) Normandin of MA., Rosemary Normandin of RI., David Normandin of FL., Mark ( Joanne) Normandin of OH., Terri (Peter) Bergman of OH., Joyce (Greg) Cravedi of MA., Diane Riden of FL., also many nieces, and nephews and her loving companion puppies Duffy and Bella. Her loving, joyful, kind, forgiving spirit will always be with us. She was a true Lady and full of grace.

In memory, a celebration of life will be held at the Perico Bay Clubhouse in Bradenton FL, Saturday, June 7th, at 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest along with her husband at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon MA., with a service in July (TBA).
