Bradenton, Florida - Joel (Joe) Vernon Henry Sr., of Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully of natural causes on April 17, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on March 29, 1935, Joe lived a long and meaningful life devoted to Faith, Family, and Service to his Community.
Joe worked for the City of Bradenton for over 30 years and was a regular at the Pirates Spring Training games where he volunteered as an Usher. Joe's hard work and dedication left a lasting impact on those around him. Joe was a man of God and beloved Preacher for over 60 years. Most of that time was spent at the East Bradenton Church of Christ where he faithfully served the Lord and ministered to his congregation. His words, guidance, and compassion touched countless lives. Mr. Henry was well respected throughout his community; he is deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Joe was proceeded in death by his first wife of 46 years, Corinne Henry (Moore), his daughter Patricia Joliceour (Henry), and son, Joel V. Henry, Jr. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Jean Henry (Hammock), sons, Brian Henry and Rogelio Agredano; Grand Children, Amber Henry, Heather Henry, Dustin Carico, Angela Henry, Jennifer Henry, Alex Henry, Eric Henry, Marcelo Agredano, and Julianna Agredano; Great Grand Children, Blake, Hailee, Charles, True, Skyla, Aubrie, Charlie, Grayson, Willow, Olivia, and Chris.
Mr. Henry was a great man; humble, kind, and full of love. He was deeply respected and adored by his family, friends, congregation, and community. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit and teachings will remain in our hearts forever.
A memorial service will be held at the East Bradenton Church of Christ on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, at 11 a.m.
